SCC stands for Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Checklist for Contractors. An SCC certificate will help your company lay the foundations for safe and healthy work every day.
Most accidents or almost-accidents are due to the lack of knowledge or inadequate awareness of the risks by those who carry out the work or those who are directly involved. Employers are obligated to instruct employees about safety from the working conditions law. Also more SCC- and SCT clients chose to outsource their work only to Basic Safety SCC certificated employees/clients.
Important improvements in safety performance can be achieved by more and better schooling with safety at high priority, with as purpose enlargement of knowledge and skills and awareness of safety risks of the employees.
The e-learning module VCA Basic Safety SCC purpose is to let students gain more extensive knowledge and comprehension about the basic safety norms within 1 day during this e-learning module that can be completed independently. Within this e-learning module there is also a practice test available. The module does not include the exam, the exam you can find here.
Course content
During this e-learning module we talk about various subjects to inform you about safety. You will be taught about legislations and rights, safety legislation, risk analysis and procedures. But also subjects like hazardous substances, fire and explosions and radiation will be talked about.

Initial situation
There are no specific requirements to participate in this course.
Validity Period
The course Basic Safety SCC will be finished with a nationally recognized exam. The finishing exam is recognized by ECABO, Nederlandse Vereniging Bedrijfshulpverlening (NVB) and NSVV. The certificate that can be achieved after this course is valid for 10 years.

A few days after the exam took place, the achieved SCC-certificates will be mentioned in the Centraal Diplomaregister. Click on this link to check the validity of your certificate.
